The satellite shot that Mack posted is of SHREVEPORT where everyone is saying. Shreveport is fine. The problem is not in Shreveport. Its when you cross the Red River into Bossier City. I'll agree, its commonly referred to as Shreveport because its the most well known. But the bad section of I-20 is in Bossier City (in Bossier Parish... Shreveport is in Caddo Parish. The Red River separates the cities & parishes).
The feds rebuilt the section of I-20 through Shreveport in the 90's. (sarcastically) I don't think they have done anything to the stretch of I-20 in Bossier City since it was built in the 70's. I agree, its a bad stretch of road.
3132 is also a bad section. It was the beginning section of a loop around Shreveport/Bossier City & has not been maintained.
As noted in some other posts, take 220, its a good road & generally speaking, its the same amount of time because the speed limit & there are almost no traffic jams & close calls like there are going I-20 through downtown S'port/Bossier.
And, in case some of you haven't noticed, it looks like they are extending I-220 from the north side of the metro area across I-20 to the east/south side of the metro.
Just FYI.........88 Alpha, MACK E-6 and Dockbumper Thank this. -
Thanks for the informative post Grumppy! Lots of grown men that act like 6th grade boys post some real douchebaggery on this Forum. I'll be heading east through there this morning. I'll take the 220 loop. Thanks again for being the "Adult in the room" : )

220 bypass worked great. I'll use it exclusively. No time difference at all. May even be quicker!
Grumppy Thanks this. -

Well, this here certainly doesn’t look pretty. I see shoddy asphalt patchwork instead of fixing it the right way, chopping the bad section out and pouring new concrete.
Grumppy Thanks this.
