How often do they check for chains going across I-70? The weather is supposed to be good the next few days and I don'the feel like stopping to pick them up.

I went through the state of co last year with chains in the cab behind the seats in bags cuz I didnt have a rack.. didnt hit the I 70 during the mandatory dates tho . 25, 76 and 70 east of denver. regardless I'd rather have them hanging rolling through a weigh station. I have a rack now with chains hung.

In 5 years I've never been checked for chains in CO.

Mine are still in the bags, in my side box.
No sense in letting them rust on the hangers.
