    50% right :biggrin_2556:

Here in this little shop for UHF/FM we service about 500 HTs ALONE per year .... that would mean 250 screw ups .... about one per day bad out the door ... :biggrin_25512:

And you wonder why I think the non requirement for a license to service radios is a bad idea .....

It is what it is. It is not a big enough industry for the gov. to get into and screw up!! I wish there weren't so many hacks, but if it was licensed and regulated, I probably couldn't find anybody to work on my export!!

In 1982 the requirement for a FCC license ( GROL OR FCC 1st or 2nd class ) was ended ..... We may dispute if it did much but to lose the license put you out of work .... a guy with a 50% failure rate would not last long in auto repair and the BBB would go after hi big time ....

I spoke to the guy at the cb shop in Jackson, very helpful I was just shopping around at the time the man knows his stuff and is cheap, for 129 I could have gotten a cobra 29 peaked and tuned to around 40 watts and installed in your truck and he would show you all the adjustments and how to use it properly.
