I try my best to stay out of the packs no matter what I'm driving. People can't resist bunching up on the road and everywhere else.

Most don't even know where they are going, but all are the most important on the road, and in a big GD hurry to get there.

Seems like alot if truck drivers don't understand what a safe following distance is these days and get right on another vehicles donkey ...then poo poo hits the fan and boom !

Throw that on the list. Always a straight away and someone has to screw it up.

At least in Arkansas if there is going to be a wreck it's going into or coming out of a curve not a straight.

You see it constantly. I give myself room. What guarantee is there that the guy with Joe Extended Hood up his ###, doesn't lose a drive tire right then? A steer?
Saw these three Billy Big Riggers about 10 feet apart heading south on the 71 once just south of Ohio line in a rain storm so hard I was thinking about stopping until it slowed down. They went by me like I was tied to a tree, I was doing about 55. They had to have been pushing 80+. I thought " Now wtf is gonna happen when they cross somebody up ahead." Cause you could hardly see. Guess they made it that time.
No I complain about the following distance, space cushion all the time. I don't mind winding it up, sometimes you need to, there are places for that. Just always need to keep in mind you need a 1/4 mile to stop.

Two major fatal truck accidents in the Chicago region in less than a week... You can bet on dot coming out in force because of idiots who don't know how to drive..

I routinely have drivers (trucks) run up and pass me, then jump into the buffer zone that I've left between me and the truck in front of me. Then stand on the brake so they can take that exit that's 1/4 mile ahead of us. One day I'm just going to drop a gear, floor it and push them until they jackknife on the ramp curve. "Sorry, didn't have enough space to stop"...

    Just kidding.

    Maybe.

Yep the other thing I see is these yahoos that seem to get offended by being passed and they stand on it .
    I laugh ..a 67 mph truck isn't fast ..bye bye bonehead ... whoosh !

Lepton1, Dave_in_AZ and austinmike Thank this.

The one I drive now has cruise set at 67, pedal set at 69. Comes in handy for spacing when someone wants to try to have a turtle race.
