I-80 today in Illinois

    Whew, im not sure if this a state police campaign. Or if its just normal beginning of the month stops. But the Illinois state police are pulling several trucks over west of Chicago. Its mainly hotshot trucks. But they had semi's pulled over too.

    I counted 12 DOT pull overs, but this was after I started counting. There was maybe a total of 15 or 16 on the side of the hiway. But I didnt count the ones inside the scale house since that was normal inside there. But wow they are definitely working 80 today!!!

    They should do it more often. There is an enormous amount of junk equipment on IL roads, especially container hailers

    Well spring is here, as the weather gets warmer more is certainly to follow.
    As I said elsewhere,nationwide roadcheck will be here next month and some states are jumping the gun on it early.

    Last year I got pulled over for a Level 3 on I-57 in Effingham (I had just started my clock) I passed (trooper was cool about it, he just checked my license and cab card and sent me on my way).
