I know that I am very late to this... but hat being said I am kind of in the same boat... I’ve been around cattle my whole life, help my dad run his cow calf operation and on Fridays, I work the sale barn. I’ve always been fascinated with cattle, but especially hauling cattle. I’m currently 18 and I am looking for a livestock hauling job. But I can’t seem to find any at all. I am fresh out of school working on my cdl and have no experience in the trucking industry. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Start talking to the guys that are hauling for your dad's operation and the guys hauling to the sale barn. They should be able to give you some pointers. I know with my operation I was not able to hire anyone to drive until they were 21, even my own son. There may be ways around this with agriculture, but not with most other freight operations. First step is to get that CDL done.
