It's great to see that you got a good job right out of school that looks like it might just be a career. Just remember to keep your positive attitude no matter what happens and you'll find it get's easier as you go along. You should never stop learning and keep your eyes and ears open and ask all the questions you can think of to your trainer.

May I suggest that you keep notes after each day of driving and keep track of what you experience. A small note book will come in very handy with all the information that's going to be piled on you. Driving a truck is more than just driving down the road. You're in a great position to become a PROFESSIONAL driver and that means a safe driver with a clean record. Always protect yourself and think what if this or that happens. Good luck and keep us posted.

hey thanx! i appreciate it! yea im really looking forward to driving...its going to be kinda weird living with a trainer, some one ive never met before, for 4 weeks...but i will value all the advice he passes on to me...cant wait to learn more and more

Oh, and today i went back there for the drug screening, and got to looking at the trucks more, and found out they are ALL automatics...lol...so as long as im with this company, i wont be shifting anymore..lol...

but on the flip side of that coin, if i go to work for another company 2 years down the road, i may get into a truck with a 10-spd and forget how to drive it..lol
