Averit will pay (no pay difference) for all empty miles you move. Doesn't matter if your picking up a load or going home, either way Averitt equipment is moving.

Empty miles are exactly that, miles. Averitt will pay you regardless. As for bobtail, that will depend on the situation. But in most cases, no; you will pull an empty trailer with you. But I have in a few cases went bobtail to either pick up a trailer from another driver (broke down) or a customer was close enough to a yard that I picked up an empty there instead of the customer.

Put it this way. Averitt will not ask you to do anything free and you personally will not have to pay for anything out of pocket that Averitt will not reimburse you for.

    Flareblitz Thanks this.

Thanks you all! Newbie here. Going to CDL school in about 2 weeks. Just trying to get as much info on companies as I can. Averitt is definitely at the top of my list. Just hoping they have a regional spot open in my area by the time I finish school. I appreciate all your help!

You are paid for all miles weather your loaded or empty.

Last week I was deadheaded 850 miles one way empty from Fort Lauderdale to Cookeville

My week is shot -.- Went to Nashville for a new driver meeting they started. Truck start throwing check engine lights and transmission fault lights at me. 10 miles out it started lurching. The qualcomm is also not working right. It will only come on when the truck is idling and it goes to sleep within 5 min of turning on even when the truck is moving. They've had it for 4 hours now and haven't said anything yet so that's not a good sign. :|

Go grab a chair and watch some TV.
They definitely don't get in a hurry.

I'm noticing that. I went down to check on it at about 8am and the shop manager said they hadn't told him anything yet. Oh well, one of the bosses that was here for the meeting yesterday said if I don't get it back for the night they'll get me a room somewhere so that's nice. These chairs are nice but they aren't meant for sleeping in lol.

    Nukem and chopper103in Thank this.

Yea... Nashville is not known to be in a hurry. Even if your under a priority load and only have 2 hours to play with. But unfortunately, your now in an International. Most of those are know for either of 2 things. Being really good for no repairs, or always being in the shop. but if you can sit for a while, I will admit Nashville is VERY thorough about getting stuff fixed. I had my last PM done on the Freight done there, and lemme tell you, it took close to 15 hours, but they found stuff that I didn't even know was broke. LOL

So this will be a test of your patience and ability to entertain yourself. :p
