Well I got it back about 1pm. Asked my fleet manager to give me a bit of time to get some sleep since they woke me up at 4am for the repairs. Ended up giving me a Nutro load that is 25 miles away and doesn't pick up til 3pm tomorrow >.> It delivers Monday at 7am in Ottawa. So I guess I'll leave out Sunday evening and spend the night at the TA on 80 that's about 20 miles away from the customer since they don't allow parking at this Petsmart. That'll give me about 300 to start with Monday and hopefully next week will run smoother. I'm ready to roll again.

I was on my way there to take a shower and wash my truck while I was waiting on dispatch.
Got told to go to Jacksonville, Al. And pick up a trailer going to Carteret NJ for a Monday delivery.
So I made it home tonight and I don't have to leave till Sunday morning

Funny you doing a Petsmart load... same here, except I'm in NJ getting ready to pick up a load and run it down to Richmond. Then pick up a load on the yard going to WI for a weekend of driving.

Yeah it's going to a DC this time thank god. That strip mall was a nightmare to get into.

Nice! I'm starting school on the May 27th and will graduate June 26th. If all goes well I'll be at orientation the week after you.

Not to throw a damper on things, BUT... unless things go VERY smooth and you have all the T's crossed and I's dotted, they will still take they're time doing a back ground check, paperwork, find a trainer that fits, etc... It'll be about a month (maybe less) before you go to Cookeville. Just want to prepare you now, if Averitt is your choice.

Miles are decent in the summer/fall. Slows down some during winter and part of late spring. BUt I manage to pull 2200 or better a week. If it's slow I stay out a weekend to help boost the paycheck.

Freight seemed a bit slow to me last week. Had a LOT of people waiting at the Nashville SVC when I was there.

Thanks for the advice! Talked to a recruiter again this week. We went through an application, my last 10 years of employment, and so forth. Told me to call again after I start school and we can get more started...like background check etc. Hopefully we can get as much done during school as possible.
