I'm really sorry to hear that. That SUX! They won't let you set it on fire, but you can start complaining to your FM and maybe get into another truck. Your not able to pay bills sitting in a hotel for days on end and can't run for anything since you have an unreliable truck...

But I do mean that I am sorry. Something like this could happen at any company, but it's not something you or any one of us would have expected out of Averitt equipment.

CKV is very good, just on the slow side if you want to get anything done on your 10. If you can, get to either LEX or CIN. Those are more up your way (For Flareblitz) so you can have them look at it if you have to shut down for the night. I do that in shops all the time. Just last week, found out that someone (NOT me) installed a 5A fuse where a 20A should go, which caused my dash to light up like a Xmas tree. (I just got it back BTW)

OH and I have to get to a shop to find out why I have no washer fluid coming out from the wipers... Little things like that I'll do while I'm on my 10. This way I get it fixed and I don't have to worry about any "feedback" from my FM about getting routed to a shop. I do it on MY time not Averitt's and this way it keeps me running as well.

I was at CIN for a week for one of the breakdowns. They said it was fixed, then it broke again.

From a driver perspective, I cannot say exactly how many mechanics each shop has, but as an outsider (TL) I really don't care who has more mechs than another. What I care about is the quality (and speed) which the work gets done to keep me rolling. (of course depending on the nature of the work, time of day, ordering parts, etc...all play a factor in that) So I stand by what I said as it's strictly an opinion anyway, as is yours. I didn't want to start a pi55ing contest

Haha yeah, go into any yard and say another yard has better whatever and watch the fun lol I do like LEX's mechanics, they were always good for a laugh.
