my finisher had an accident free record except he hit a fire hydrant in the middle of a parking lot that was covered in snow.
i guess the buck stops with the driver. some has to take the blame.

Don't worry about it. Best drivers I know are the ones that tear crap up once in awhile. Anyone that says they are accident free, incident free, safe driver of the universe has hit something.

Way overreacting and way overanalyzing. #### happens to even the most experienced drivers. It's not going to show up on DAC, I am nearly certain. Company probably paying the other company without even involving insurance. Local terminal can do that from an expense account. Like @Chinatown said, not a big deal. Wonder why so many drivers like yourself try to make big #### out of small ####.Another Canadian driver and Rideandrepair Thank this.

It's a mirror. Hearing you, a person would think an entire front end is needing to be replaced. Chicken Little, the sky is not falling.Another Canadian driver and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Snow that is piled up that high should be avoided, so the hydrant being covered in snow doesn't absolve a driver of responsibility. It sucks, but that's just how it goes.Another Canadian driver and Rideandrepair Thank this.

If that is the only thing on your record- you ought to be fine. Just be more careful.
If I may offer a piece advice from a yard jockey who deals with tight docks everyday. Go slow. I mean crawl out of spaces. That way if do hit something it will cause a lot less damage then if you hit going 15 or more mph.LilRedRidingHood, Coffey, Phoenix Heavy Haul and 2 others Thank this. -
It's also easier to stop and correct.Another Canadian driver, Rideandrepair and CrappieJunkie Thank this.
