Sorry if I posted this twice I'm new at this sort of thing

Im an I/C, I live in CA and want to do an s-corp. Have been hearing a lot about this lately. Saw a post on here that apllied to O/Os but wasn't sure sure if it works the same for I/Cs. Would appreciate and advice and/or knowledge on the subject.

WHile there may be some here that have information for you but, my personal suggestion is to speak to a CPA. They will look at your specific situation and determine the best tax / legal advantage for you to persue. I can tell you that there are varying pluses and minuses for LLC, C-Corp and S-corp.

now it makes no difference what kind of company you have o/o or not . a c-corp is supposed to offer you some level of protection agains liability, if you sued they can sue the corp but not you personaly, thats the way it is supposed to be not the way it is .
first if you do decide to incorperate do no under any circumstance atatch any of your personal information to the corperation if you do what little protection you have is now gone if you get sued not only the corperation gets sued but you personaly they can take it all.
as it is today nobody will have anything to do with a new corperation without your personal information atached to it in affect making the corperation worthless.
now i have been out here almost 50 years but ive always been pretty much of an outlaw so i decide to go legal i incorperate c-corp, my corp expires in january it will not be renewed ill continue to be an outlaw.
due to the economy and your friendly neighbor hood banker who by the way created this whole mess in the first place , why incorperate if it does you no good but makes you worse off. dont waste your money. luck to you.---sothernpride
