No sir, your trainer was wrong - and it's not unanimous OR ANONYMOUS... your name is on the log book page, and your signature at the bottom says it's all true and accurate... and now you're trying to say it's not, and they made ya do it? Doesn't work that way..

Problem with that is, being as honest as you want doesn't relieve you from being cited for breaking the rules, too - been there, took the hit, made a difference, got the charges dismissed... but you have to bite the bullet initially.

Just because you're reporting bad things that the company is doing or requiring you to do.. doesn't make you exempt from the law.

Lumping fees are easily fixed i just do the lumping myself and charge the company for it gives me some decent exercise and some extra cash but i must admit i hate it when they hide all those pallet jacks or lock them up, you know theres some scam going on big time!

Spelling, typing, grammar... not the strongest characteristic of the folks here.

It don't gotta need to be so!

Safe trucks, on-time loads, and the accompanying paycheck are all that matter. hehehehee

Oh, and some humor, can't forget the humor.

Just giving you crap on the word choice... and like I've advised my sons and everyone I've trained (even in the military)... be VERY careful who you take your advice from, and when you take action based on that advice, understand that the person who gave it to you WILL NOT share the responsibility for your actions.

No company can force you to do something that is illegal. If you are running illegal then it will come back on you, not the company. If you go to the dot and show them your illegal logs, you will likely be the one who gets the fines. It isn't on the company. We are all responsible for our own actions. You don't need to run illegal. If you do it is your responsibility to pay the fines and accept the consequences. If a dispatcher or anyone else at your company tries to get you to run illegally, tell them to put it in writing. All you need do is say no if someone asks you to do something that you know is illegal. If they continue then find another company.
