I dont know about part timers but Ive been around trucks all my life. Either you are WHOLE HEARTED to the job or dont even waste your time. As far as your games idk tv is least of my worries goin to the gym you have options just have to be creative. When I was doin flat bed, which I hope to get back into, boxes aint my thing, Id park as far away from the truckstop and walk then walk a few laps around it. then put those 70# tarps to use. Is it like the gym, no but its better than sittin on my #####. You want money for a business or added income you aint gonna get rich driving a truck now days but you can be pretty comfortable.

There's plenty of drivers out there that will bounce around. They'll drive 2-3 years and quit and go home and do something else. Then they get the itch and go back out.

There is no rule saying you have to stay out there forever. A CDL is good thing to have in economic hard times and something you can always fall back on. Just remember, you can't take longer than three year breaks or you'll find yourself going through refresher training.

You'll have more stability and financial success when you find a job you like and committ to it.
