How much exp do you have?If you feel you don't need a trainer I would go with company B.Sounds like they have real good equipment as A does but they have 100 trks meaning less likely you'll be sitting waiting for a load.Don't be fooled by the 3000.00 bonus company A is offering. But I would ask B what their requirements are with the 30 plus 5 cpm bonus.Ask them how much their detention pay is.

Is there that much difference between the two trucks (Freightliner/Peterbilt)?
The Freightliner i thought was pretty nice. If you call it a Crapcadia, I can only imagine what the Peterbilt will be like.

Thanks for your feedback, very much appreciated.

I have 6 months Exp and approx 30k miles as a solo driver. Training is always good, but I don't think I would benefit from it very much.

Their requirements for hitting the .5+ CPM is based on five things.
    1. Your MPG anything over 6.8 you get .1 CPM
    2. Idle % lower than 30% you get .1 CPM (Trucks have Opti-Idle)
    3. No Accidents or Tickets that week you get .1 CPM
    4. Averaging 10k miles month you get .1 CPM
    5. Good Employee, accepts majority of loads .you get 1 CPM

Total - .35 CPM If all bonus's are met.

Company B also mention after 2-3 months they will bump your pay depending on performance.
The recruiter gave me a phone number of one of their drivers and spoke with him for over 45 minutes.
Said he had been with the company since 1/2015 and he has received 3 pay increases so far. Last paycheck he got was for 3400 miles. Said he would even txt me a pic of his statement to prove he wasn't lying.

Detention pay is $15/hour and paid after 2 hours. Walmarts do not pay detention pay though.

Company B sounds like they value their drivers and gives credit where credit is due.I would call that driver.Whats the name of this company?

I would rather not disclose the company names. You can PM though.
I just don't want to put either of them on blast if you know what I mean.
Trying to be respectful of both.

Yea wish was APU, but can't have everything in the world. I am still a new driver.
Last company had neither so sounds good to me. :D

Curious though - I heard if its really hot the APU don't cool the truck as much as the main trucks A/C, is this true?

    Fancy, Smancy!!
Company B did mention the truck does have in dash nav, which I am assuming that is what the screen on the dashboard console is?

I can surely see the difference with my eyes, but is there also a noticeable difference in handling and ride?

Yes that's what the screen is.

Well I'm in a Kenworth now which I guess is similar to Peterbilt and the difference is like night and day compared to when I was in a Freightshaker.

To put it simply... wayyyy more comfortable.
