As soon as they dont do what they first promised, its time to leave. They value you or your gone. An employee gets paid at the end of the week or your gone. You do not make enough as a driver to take financial, and or legal risks. You do know they will convict you for manslaughter for killing someone with a truck with faulty equipment.

I hear exactly what you're saying.Company before last had horrible equipment. Many times I was on the side of the road waiting for brkdown.Told my boss I refuse to drive it even to the next exit..They give drivers crap to drive ,they deserve to pay for rd brkdown.I refused to even try to fix anything.Made boss mad many times.

As kw cajun stated that is was my fault for driving defective equipment. As I stated all the things wrong with Trk I was only on Trk for 2 1/2 days the only thing that showed itself was the power steering. I put fluid in there when I did pretrip. As the 2 1/2 days progressed things gotten worse. And the other things showed it's head but I was already on way to yard. And as for the brakes I didn't no they were that bad because the places I went I did not have to be on them constantly until I hit Dallas 5pm traffic. That's when I had complete failure. Before then the lights would come on then second later go off. Ask complete details before having a smart ### opinion

No need to ask for details. The fact is, regardless of when they progressively occurred, you were knowingly continuing to drive an unsafe CMV with known problems, from where you first got in it.
The DOT, law, or courts won't care if they happened all at once, or progressively.
As for your failed brakes, why did they fail? Was it something that should have been discovered in a good pretrip?
I've rarely seen any brake issue that is not able to be revealed in a good pretrip.

Cetane+, FLATBED, Flatbedder73 and 2 others Thank this.

Missjhawk, before you get all defensive, think about why many of us are critical over things like this, It is far easier to get another job but when you face a lawsuit and then have to deal with losing your CDL, house and any assets, you will get the idea how serious this is.

    Next time - think.
