ALL ACCIDENTS go on a driving record. it's whether or not one is at fault determines the insurance settlement.
it still goes on your driving record, and will remain there for whatever length of time your state makes it stay there, be it 3 years, 5 years, whatever. since you did not get any tickets (yet) there is always the possibility at a later time someone could be charged, when the investigation is complete. but you should be in the clear since you have at least ONE witness.
glad you didn't get to badly hurt to by the way.
I crashed a 4 wheeler...

i have had that happen to a student of mine. the company he was "supposed" to go to work for denied him later. they claimed his wreck was so recent and being IN SCHOOL, he SHOULD HAVE read the traffic better......as he was supposed to have learned all that stuff, and should have applied it to his daily driving activities..........he's still not working......and he graduated back in May of this year....... -
probaly not bad thing ehhh? -
First thing I'd do is remove that photo and keep my mouth shut.........

Black Cat, looking back, is there anything you could of done different to handle the situation better?
It will hurt your hiring situation. You'll have to disclose the accident on the application and they'll probably make you wait until the investigation and report is completed. It'll take at least 30 days for any info to get on the MVR. They might accept the police report and make a hiring decision from there. I'd have the report in hand when you apply.
You need a violation to make the MVR. MVR's is a collection of points data for the DMV to assess ones driving. Points are made by violations. Not at fault accidents is redundant data and I'm pretty sure it doesn't go on there.
This is off DMV.org. It says nothing about accidents.
Wargames Thanks this. -

When you fill out a job application put this accident down. Then have the police report to turn it with the application. Your license will show accident and the date and whether there were any PI (personal injuries) but not whos fault....hence the police report needed. Shouldn't be a problem at all unless you got a ticket for something....
Wargames Thanks this.
