The owner of the company sat down with me today when I clocked out and had me full out paper work. She explained to me that the routes are non negotiable. If we are over 10 yds. we stay on access/ frontage roads. Every load is mapped and printed out by dispatch. If we have to get on public/ freeways we have permits for X miles to the nearest access road. We can and sometimes haul (with tractor weight) over 100k.

so many people think they have to go OTR to get training... so far from the truth, but the ATA keeps that meme going strong.

Concrete, an always shifting load, take those corners easy.

I earned $17,000 in 12 months at stevens. Out of that I paid $3,400 for their training. Can I apply for welfare ?

    Should be able to.

Here in NM the poverty line is $23,834 as an example. Don't know where you're at so I can't give you a number...but many states are similar.

Depends on what the average pay for a Stevens driver is. If $17000 is the average, then yes, you get welfare. If the average for a Stevens driver is more, then you are a slacker and get nothing. Sorry.
