and then let's talk about taxes, by your figures you think you are making $90,000/yr, so paying $25,000 or so in taxes. you are probably only clearing $40,000 after your real expenses subtract your taxes leaves you with $15,000/yr. you better rethink this quick.

I understand the tax code and per diem. As I stated a taxable income. Less deductions which includes all of schedule C.

Once again its what you do with the net. I assure you we have a system in place to protect the net as much as we can under the tax code.

ugghhh, you aren't netting 0.80/mile. you are failing to account for 0.30 - 0.40 / mile expenses. I don't know how better to explain it to you.

Its simple math inflows less outflows = taxable earnings. From that point its out of trucking and into...............what do you do with your net give to the govt. Or ..........INVEST AND PROTECT. Learn the numbers outside of trucking and earn more whith your net.

As stated earlier. .53 fuel. .08 fixed & .17 parts and repairs, includes everything. 1.61 gross. I am estimating a taxable net of .80 per mile for 2013. On 1200000 miles. I clearly stated my numbers with explanations on previous post. Please review. My mc # and scope of my operation also was posted.

0.53/mile fuel = probably low, or extremely lucky

0.17/mile equipment, maintenance, repairs, truck washes, and tools. = extremely low, you will spend 1/2 this on tires and pm's

0.08/mile insurance, tags, highway tax, IFTA = fine

0.00 depreciation, incidentals, supplies, etc.... needs to be at least 0.20/mile truck and 0.08/mile trailer just for depreciation, glad you are getting a bargain on your incidentals, my stuff like cell phone, internet access, printer ink, computer, etc... really adds up.

ignoring rational numbers in favor of pretending you are making 80 cpm on 1.60 freight = priceless
