I don't know if that's true or not, but I'll remember to use it everytime I see an idiot who doesn't understand what fog and light put together means. Fog? What fog?
I drive with my fog lights on at all times ...

In 1982 when i purchased my cabover it had per- lux fog lights think that was the brand name. Separate switch on the dash. So they could be on, on high or low beam headlights. Now these were actually fog lights, not driving lights. They were adjustable, not mounted in some plastic hole. The idea at least to me is. Left fog light is aimed down at the center line on the road, and right one aimed down at the edge line. For "FOG". Not aimed up blinding everyone. But i understand that we truck in different "times" now and these bright lights aimed everywhere, but where they should be is the norm now. But road rage and a hammer comes to my thoughts frequently. Like others have mentioned.mustang190, Lonesome and dunchues Thank this.

Per-Lux is quality. Still available last I looked.
stillwurkin Thanks this. -
Timber Tiger, that's a good one I'm using it. Is that name also used for bear and moose?

Fog lights don't really illuminate anything beyond the front of the bumper..
That little dark spot between the bumper and the headlights. Who really thinks that is important? If you don't see something coming until it's in that spot, then it;s too late anyway. You aren't going to stop, or "veer", out of the way when it's that close.
If you think you need to be looking at the road right in front of the bumper, then yes, I think you are a steering wheel holder.
Unless it's foggy or inclement weather, the fog lights can help you see the fog line or zipper. no problem with that.kylefitzy, LoSt_AgAiN and dunchues Thank this. -
I very seldom feel the need to use the brights. If you pay attention to the things that you can see…taillights from the vehicles far ahead of you, the solid stripe to your right, and the broken stripe to your left, you should be able to drive without blinding oncoming traffic.

Fog lights have one purpose, to help you see the lines on the road. No they don’t have a special light frequency to let you see through thick water molicules. No they are not there to let you see further and therefore dive faster. They are there to keep you between the lines. You still have to drive slow.
mustang190, sevenmph, stillwurkin and 1 other person Thank this. -

And that’s why they are supposed to be aimed down at the road.TankerP and stillwurkin Thank this.
