I am an easy going guy,but if my instructor said that to me after failing the airbrake PT.He would have wished he hadn't said that...I would be livid..You pay these guys to get you passed this step in the process, yes even company schools..I respect the instructors and their word is the word of God but when I get a,oh I guess we need to get that fixed..I'm done...Now your going to get rusty, depending on the qaulity of your school..If you can be there every day..even if its just to watch do it..

Ya I can go everyday for free, and my instructor is going to see if he can get me in earlier cause they do bulk testing sometimes. I might be able to go than but for now I just gotta grin-n-bear it!!!!!!

In real life if they pop at the same time the truck is out of service! In fact the tests as in the CDL manual have to be done as the manual states, but the Low pressure warning test, both leakage rate tests (Brakes on and brakes off), and the tractor protection valve test all have invalidating flaws in them.

OK, let the bullets head this way!

    Best regards

Actually the truck did not fail, there is no requirement for the Park Brake button to ever pop out and definitely not when wants to test the tractor protection valve.

Problem is the CDL manual states both buttons should pop out, so for that to happen the TP valve must be defective so the student will pass the test. Irony?

    Best regards

What doesn't kill ya will make you stronger.

Learn and pass it the next time. I hope your instructor can get you in earlier...that's a long time to have to wait for a re-test. But at least you can go back free and practice.

    Like your attitude...good luck!!
