I hope not or I will be forced to pull the old "I gotta go "bit lol. You would figure that with 13k drivers that 20 or so trucks would be an average week.

    JB update
After 1 week of orientation, and 1 week of calling everyday hoping a truck near me would pop up, I called in Friday morning and was told that my truck was waiting with a fresh PM. SWEET! So where is my truck? Niles, 185 miles away, DANG! I asked if there was anything closer she said nope, and if you don't take it then I have to bump you back to the bottom of the list. She said JB would pay for the bus, and cab ticket though...whoa thanks!
Fast forward through my trip down (not by bus) got into my truck which was a 2010 Cascadia. It was out of fuel, 1 gallon low on Oil and dirty. With no log book no authorization to run for fuel, nor the desire to run out I shivered my way through the night. Sat for 3 days no load, they said yeah they know Im ready to run with an empty trailer.
Fed up I called , and said I can be broke at home with my family. I told them Im needed at home and Im heading that way, she asked me to take it back to Columbus which is closer to my house ,which was fine by me. What ticked me off was when I got to the yard, there where 6-8 trucks sitting there with big tags saying ready for work.
So with 2 job offer on the table Im going to be home either way daily..or most days.

although a "fresh PM" does NOT mean you get a clean truck, it SHOULD MEAN you didn't need to ad oil either...!!

as for fuel, there should have been fuel nearby.....as for it being dirty, oh well......

too bad it didn't work out, and let this be a reminder, DO NOT GO BACK TO A FORMER EMPLOYER....once gone..????.....STAY GONE.....!!!!

This was the only time I've worked for them, and hopefully the last. I honestly had high hopes for them too.
I'm going for orientation this morning. Hopefully this job will fair better than he last. I can be home everyday, but I probably wont due to the fact that I get paid after fuel comes out. I run out of the same place everyday and come back to it everyday, yet it's 1 hr away from the house, and I don't believe they will allow you to park your car at the DC. I'm thinking about being gone mon-tuesnight, home wed night, then gone Thursday night , and home Fri-Sun. I will know more by tomorrow.

Wonder why that Chompi guy keeps recommending to us newbies to stay away from the mega-carriers? Huh? Well I got screwed at JB and Swift, I'm sure it will probably work out with Werner! You know, I see millions of other trucks out there that don't have these company names on them. Probably driven by robots though since the schools haven't mentioned them.
