Nucor is infamous for loading unsafely and expecting the driver to accept it. That's why I mentioned the loading/securement detail in a previous post. I made them unload my trailer and left empty on a brokered load from one of their facilities a few years ago.

Well thanks for responding and crawling out of the darkness. Nice of you to chime in!
So I was quite surprised by the homeless situation when I first got to town. Definitely a bit rough in certain areas. I think I know what you mean about that neighborhood, I’ve stayed at Arizona Charlies right down the street lol. It’s definitely not the nicest part of town over there.
Now I am myself a homeless person, for years I’ve been homeless. But you wouldn’t guess it by looking at me. I try to blend in and look as normal as possible, especially these days. I rarely go out at all anymore unless I have to. Just too much crazy in this world right now, and the one thing I value above all else is my peace.
So I’m hoping those dinner shows aren’t too close to the trailer or it might not be for me! maybe I can record them and make a new YouTube channel. Las Vegas Drug Deals gone bad!Lonesome, nevadabadgirl, 77fib77 and 2 others Thank this. -
It’s supposed to be rebar only, but I guess I’ll find out.Concorde, 77fib77, Albertaflatbed and 3 others Thank this.

They're loaded in bundles and there's two layers. They'll try to keep space between each bundle with no blocking. That's illegal. Objects have to be braced/blocked or self braced because when you cinch down your securement it will push the objects toward the center of the trailer and loosen up as you travel.

lual, hope not dumb twucker, Lonesome and 6 others Thank this. -
there is a couple of ways to load rebar, some like to do two stacks, (on 20ft) front back and one the straddles both, I prefer right down the middle, 3 feet to the rear of center helps with the trailer not bouncing. Assuming you have a spread axle trailer.
All I did was haul steel for the last 3 years here in Utah, in and out of Nucor weekly and Triple S and the Steel West (both are under Triple S steel umbrella) I am curious where in Lehi you are hauling to though, also where this rebar is coming from. I am not aware of a distributor in North Vegas. There is Nucor here in Plymouth, Utah strange they are making this trip might be used or rejected rebar from a project.
this is a easy run, no tarp I throw 5 chains on 20fts - no scales on the run either. Come from that address I would say they are 20ft. I don't see a crane there, but then again street view shows an empty lot so its not a terribly old operation.
Housing, I would ask how much because it sounds like a company store kind of thing, you may wants to rough it in the street. Half your money MAY go to accommodations.Last edited: Jun 29, 2025

If u want to haul rebar all the time, go to a decent company... I gave u one a couple months back, but I guess working with sketchy companies out of Vegas is a better idea.. Lol
Me personally Vegas is full of degenerates and bums. I would not trust any business or person out of there.. Especially some seedy place on CraigslistBro_Dave, austinmike, hope not dumb twucker and 7 others Thank this.
