not the end of the world but got #61696. the electric box is missing the plug cover and a bit of the female surround. someone put a bungee around back so you can rig secure the pigtail in there. the lights are working and I checked it a few times. then I'm running down that 65n grade before Lebanon and a blazer pulls alongside me doing the point to the back thing..I'm like now what..slow to minimum..don't hear or feel anything and its pulling fine. so I get on cab and a guy says I'm dragging something from the center of the axle area. so now I find a nice spot and do the e stop...its one of those cheap slinky springs on the air line. so after banging my head on the bottom of the trailer I wedge that thing back up there...the lines are fine. and go on my way.
shut down and call maintenance...he mustov had a bad day..k don't think he wanted to talk to me. told him the electric box was broke and rigged with a bungee..told him it was a duct tape fix..he asked if there was duct tape on it. I said no...so apparently its good to go.
now that spring...second one I've found broke this trip out. I hope they are not buying way low to save money...someone's gunna lose their lines. anyways avoid this trailer like the plague. my experience with Roehl maintenance has been superb until today. I've got a great tractor but not interested in daily fail because they wanna save a few bucks on cheap springs or not replacing a beat up electric box. not cool. I did do macro 48
I got a crap preloaded trailer today

Cheap spring could have been from the last person to replace it. Places like TA use the cheapest crap they can get.goblue Thanks this.

Fix it before you drop it. Someone left it for the ya ...
goblue Thanks this. -
I doubt the spring was from ta..Roehl has excellent maintenance facilities and great mechanics. just not impressed that I got blown off...that's just one person. if they would have scheduled that trailer to get thru a terminal on a future load I would have been good with that. I'm not paying for the repair...maybe next guy wiil refuse it. we have customers that prolly wouldn't load it.Projektf350 Thanks this.

Wow, are you ever optimistic. Seems you have not called maint, very often. It's typical for them to even want you to drive several miles loaded with a blown trailer tire.Projektf350 Thanks this.

Bayle..I really have had good luck with maintenance. I understand saving money but really... big plus is they do answer the phone. I just about did the dvir thing but didn't want to blow it out of proportion. I wish they had more confidence in the driver...lol I'm not stupid and I'm the one driving the truck.

Get used to it. To the office, this is for any company really. We are monkeys holding a steering wheel.

Had to work on an old 61___ trailer last week just to get the tandems to slide. Weld had broken..."you don't need all four." I know and that's good because only three pins work now. What's new? Hopefully some more trailers!

OSU remember the trailer I had that was about to tip over. Then they told me it was good enough and added those side wings ahahahahahhahhaha.
