Might be because gets updated every 24 months, if I remember correctly. Just look up the website. Look under the SMS part and then look at the part they call BASICs. Its all there.

I am not getting into a "pissing contest" with you, but every policeman is not qualified to do an inspection, but they are qualified to write a ticket for a moving violation and on the CSA "scoreboard" it will show up as "Unsafe Driving".Harry Hickory Thanks this.

Not in all Cases. It will cost him no matter what, Time off the road to fight it, and if the cop does not show, they may put it on hold and make you come back costing you a second lost day. Court in Franklin, NC tried to do that, SO I said put the speed I was doing, I pay the stupid fine, and they did I paid 105.00 for doing 55 in a 55, not 68 as the NC DMV Offcer stated on the ticket.
Agree if you get a ticket for sneezing in your truck it show on ur CSA. Doubt you will get a ticket for sneezing but just saying -
So explain why it isn't on mine...

Unless it involves a inspection it doesn't go on your CSA. My company tried to tell me they do but I asked DOT and they said it doesn't and the officer showed me this site to show my company.

Q: Will violations, citations, or warnings issued against a driver while driving his/her personal vehicle be placed into the driver's data in CSA?
A: No. The only data that will be placed into the CSA database related to drivers will be violations noted on a roadside inspection report (this is only completed when a commercial vehicle and/or the driver of a commercial vehicle is inspected) and crashes that the driver is involved in while operating a commercial vehicle.Arkansas Frost, truckon and Harry Hickory Thank this. -

I agree with you on this. I got a ticket from the local fuzz in 2011 for failure to yield right of way. The first thing my company asked me was if I got inspected. I said no. I went and checked my company's SMS report and it was no where to found. My driving record yes, CSA no.Harry Hickory Thanks this.

Indeed, only tickets (and even warnings count here) will show up on your CSA IF the officer does an inspection as well. Doesn't matter what level inspection. I also have a speeding ticket from last year and it is not on there. The most current data currently in the system is from June of 2013 which should tell you how often they update their system.
Harry Hickory Thanks this. -
Got one a year and a half ago. No inspection and no CSA. It was issued by an Eddy Co. Sheriffs deputy in NM and only the Motor Carrier Enforcement division of the State Police can issue inspections in NM.Harry Hickory Thanks this.

The world is not perfect and the ball gets dropped. I even had an inspection and the officer wrote up a headlight being out, this has never made it on my CSA. There is a difference in getting a "camera ticket". A "camera ticket" is a civil offense and all you do is send the fine in and forget about it, no points! But when an officer pulls you over and writes you a moving violation, this is a criminal offense.
