We run 80 with doubles in Utah legal, so do the trains, speed is not the problem. In fact there seems to be less problems at the higher speed limits, people seem to understand following distance better.
In the case of a posted lower limit there are normally reasons for the lower limit, schools churches, etc... So I would agree that speeding in town poses a more serious problem than open road driving. At least in general.
But, I'am saying don't attack and act all innocent, if you drive somewhere sometime you have been guilty weather caught or not, your still guilty, or of course lying.
I got another ticket, need experienced advice

You (as usual) assume a lot here...
Maybe you disregard the speed limits that are posted as I used to do when I was younger and when it wasn't as big a deal with regard to getting and keeping a driving job as it is now...But in the last 20 years or so I stay within a couple of MPH of the speed limit and haven't gotten a ticket for anything in many years in spite if the fact that I run in all the lower 48 and have to pay attention to varying speed limits and conditions.
So the next time you want to accuse someone of being a liar...Look at yourself first!GasHauler, Injun, otherhalftw and 1 other person Thank this. -

There's a difference Powder Joints between knowing your speeding and not knowing. At least your awareness level is up. I never go more than 10 over. Now it's almost impossible with my slow truck.

No.
I drive the speed limit. I obey the traffic laws. I am aware of speed limits, bridge weights, overpass height and construction areas. Even in my off-duty Jeep.
There is a reason for this.
It's called respect for the CDL in my wallet. It's my new bread and butter, it pays my rent and keeps my kids in a Private School.
15 over anywhere is "reckless" and in CA that's a HUGE BIG ticket and you lose things ... like your driving job.
The CDL is given to someone who who aspires to be a PROFESSIONAL DRIVER.
Your employer will give you a key to a $100,000 piece of hardware. Depending on the Shipper they will trust you to transport their precious cargo. This could be housewares, electronics or their very last load of material that they need paid for quickly or they will close their doors forever.
Everyone involved in the transport trusts the next one in line and they all are counting on Professionals along the way.
So, two "15 over's" in short order demonstrates to the potential employers that what he wants is more important than following the Law. That is why it comes with such a harsh cost.
Don't put that nonsense on me, or the others here. We are not that person. -
I was not aware of the speed limit as I just turned on this new road off the road I was just at church not 5 mins prior. I was distracted. The other one last month I was going with the flow of traffic. Thanks for the Criticism I hope this does not ruin my chances, I need to find out what can i do to take it off. I am not reckless in anyway. I did not see the posted limit nor was i watching my own speed.
As for riding my sportbike, This was last year on open road and I never once stunt race or let one wheel off the ground. I always ride safe as can be. I agree that some bikers do not care and just go for it. I do not have my bike anymore. I lost 2 friends on bikes this year and decided I am done with it. -
I'm seeing too many "I was not aware" and "I was distracted" statements.
Either one of those could cause senseless tragedy.
True, everyone gets momentarily distracted from time to time. But this really doesn't bode well for you.Rerun8963 Thanks this.
