I got in the habbit of just using the GPS in my pickup because the pickups old mechanical speedo wont hook up to the newer 5 speed manual I put in the truck.
Cross checking them is a good practice, for instance the speedo in my KW was 4 mph fast, if it said you were doing 65, you were doing 61
I got another ticket, need experienced advice

Powder Joints,
"Wow, I'am sure glad all these other posters are such excellent drivers that they have either not gotten caught or never exceeded the posted speed limit.
You guys are full of crap, each and everyone that has driven a car or a truck could have received 2 tickets in a short amount of time for the same violation, and if you say I'am wrong they your a liar or you have ever driven."
and also
"What I have a problem with is the holier than thou attitude that, not me never. When I know good and well it does happen to all of us. FOr instance on the way into Overton NV, The speed limit on this highway is 55, there are a couple of places that the speed drops unexpectingly to 35 and or 25, If you were not familiar with the road you will be past the sign probably without seeing it.
If you know the road you know about the speed drops. In all fairness the local handout warning to the trucks, not tickets as they are in unexpected places.
As truck drivers you should be more intune and pay better attention than the untrained 4 wheeler, but if you watch all to often this is a untrue assumption also.
You should not feel the need to defend yourself of something that did not hot home."
Well, I will defend myself, because in two separate posts you implied that all truck drivers exceed the posted speed limit at some point; and or, are unaware of what the speed limit is. That is just wrong. I bet there are thousands of drivers who drive legally and safely every single mile, of every single day. I have over a million miles driving in my personal and work vehicles and have never received a ticket for 15 mph over.
In fact I have never received any type of violation, from any agency, in the last 5 years. I obtained my CDL in 08/2005. So please refrain from making sweeping generalizations, as it undermines you credibility on TTR. -

Good way of wording it. I wish I had as clear of conscience as some of you do. I got 10 things going on in my head at once and thats no lie. I did man up and tell it exactly how it is, regardless I just want to save my chances. -
Sorry, bro.otherhalftw and Injun Thank this. -

Where are located? i'm ASSuming florida?
Probably the best move would be to contact a lawyer----or several lawyers. You might get lucky and have one or both tickets dismissed or reduced.
2) Get a rev limiter to prevent any further tickets; i know you weren't intentionally speeding, but you got caught too easily which means there is a problem with your driving so you got to do what you got to do:
i don't know what type of car you got but:
a) If you got a distributor, then easy
b) If no distributor, then expensive but still worth it in my opinion, in the long run.
c) If you want to be cheap about it, then put a block underneath the pedal. Make sure it is secure----bolt it on if nessesary.

We are trying to tell you something here. But it seems like you really don't want to hear it.
No one is claiming to be perfect. But when you get behind the wheel, you need to concentrate on what you are doing, instead of all the rest of the things going on in your life. Do you really believe that you are the only one who has many problems? We all have them.HEAVY DUDE Thanks this.
