I got backed into at the truck stop - is it my fault?

Few days after Christmas this year Stevens took off my dads hood and we almost had to get a lawyer for them to pay for damages and down time cost was worse than pulling teeth

I'm not that way either, except...
When some jerk tries to blame me for their stupid mistake.

I have let people off the hook for a mistake, and I have been let off the hook for a mistake.
But it was honest and decent on both sides - always.

When someone tries to shift the blame, the gloves come off.

It tires me out. Every day there’s another potential battle. I spend most of my time following my wife’s advice -

    “Stay away from Stupid”

But then Stupid chases me. And I pick my battles now.

Is it just me, or does it seem like things of this nature are becoming more common?

So you have sub standard parking skills, and sub standard equipment, and you're passing the buck. Is this correct? :walk:

I have a 53' manac as well alum. Good built trailers. You are good. The mention of a police report should scare him enough to do the right thing. My truck/trailer is long and am always paranoid about getting hit. But that is when the parking lot is FULL! Half empty, stupid. Especially if he's somewhat new. Sorry that happened!

I leave my dash cam on at night and sometimes my running lights for visual reference and proof if I ever do get hit.

Just ask the shipper for their insurance companies name. See if they give it and turn it in to them. If they don't give it to them it has to be on file with the state.
