This has nothing to do with trucking, I'm asking this question here is because you guys know better, your professional drivers.
OK, so my 1st accident happened after years. The intersection had no stop signs and I should have slowed down, I noticed that but it was too late. Both me and the other car were probably doing 25 to 35 MPH. When I noticed that car coming towards the intersection, I made a sharp left lane change to get away with it, and I ended up on the sidwalk but I was still hit. That's the only thing I could do to avoid the accident in my opinion. Who is at fault here? The other driver hit my right rear door. I have the dashcam recording
Thank you
I got into an accident

You left your lane. That’s always a bad idea. To determine who’s at fault, you’d have to provide some details. Not much to go on with your original post

The other car was coming from the right side, so I had to get away from it. I didn't have a stop sign and the other driver didn't have a stop sign either
Trucker61016 and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
My lane change was away from the driver, not towards him. There were no other cars around so I felt that was safe to do
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I was trying to get away from the other car and not get hit.

What did the police report have?
NavigatorWife, SoulScream84 and Solo Soul Thank this. -
You apparently aren't familiar with right of way. The person to the right always goes first.
UsualSuspect, okiedokie, Trucker61016 and 8 others Thank this. -
alds and NavigatorWife Thank this.

So it is 100% my fault?

My question is why the other driver was not slowing down at the intersection, he did the same mistake as I did
NavigatorWife and Bean Jr. Thank this.
