As a newbie the best thing you can do is back the trailer into a spot every day. NEVER pull-thru into a parking spot. It just delays the X number of practices you need to be better at backing. My trainer made me back into a spot when we pulled into a truck stop even if we were just going to use the bathroom or get a coffee to go. Back evry time you stop the truck, even if it is on the back row of the truck stop and you will be leaving in 5 minutes. Shfiting will improve quickly because you may do it 300 times a day. Backing is the skill that makes this job possible.
