Just a thought medic - I said such as the IRS or other agency.

That is why I said small claims court would cost funds and you are not guareented to collect.

Anything that he could do LEGALLY ( I mean not break the law) to try to collect was the idea.

Any retaliation that has been suggested would result in criminal charges to him.

I can only see getting an Attorney Generals office involved.

I don't know. The IRS might be interested that she isn't paying taxes on employees but I guess you would have to pay them before paying on them.

Exactly. I just signed up to this forum and am already surprised by the helpful tips. I never thought about the attorney general. Even if it doesn't do any good at least she'll be paranoid about screwing the next guy over.

    sammycat Thanks this.

You will continue to get some great ideas here and the people are very helpful and fun too!

I would continue to research what ever options you can that legally could be done for you to try to get your back pay.

There ya go, hit up the lease-to company. Explain the situation, and let them know that in no way are you trying to hold them responsible, only that you would like help from them getting the situation resolved.

By now I hope you realize mistake number 1 was using craigslist. Best way in the world to get scammed. Number 2: after not being paid for 3 weeks. My last phone call to her would have gone something like; "hey ya old bag, guess where your truck is? No no, really you gotta GUESS!"

Personally, I would burn her house down, but then again I do tend to go a little overboard when people try to screw me intentionally:biggrin_25523:

Exactly, Kansas... I'll give someone the shirt off my back and my last dollar to help them... but if I'm screwed over, there's no place on Earth they'll be able to hide.

Some would suggest milder remedies, but I feel that people need to be held fully accountable for their actions.

    Kansas Thanks this.

Twenty-five years ago a few hundred bucks would probably get everything taken care of. Sadly, like most things, I suppose inflation has made that remedy almost impossible as well.
