Is QTYNING doing well? Get tight with Steve, he can get things done if he likes you. Tell everyone there I said "Greetings"
I hear you may see the new trucks! The FLD's need to get parted out. -
Haha I agree ! Yes she is doing real well. I wonder how much money Swift has made off these old worn out trucks ? I'm sure a pretty penny ! Any word on going Flatbed yet ?

I plan on talking to them on tuesday at orientation. I will let you know, should I also mention that you are interested as well? I found two DOL's that are open on Mondays! Federal Way and Parkland. All is well, well... if I had a few grand it would be better.

Orientation- Troutdale, OR I am the only Swift Academy Grad.
The first day I sat on my ###! Nothing to do but fill a cup and check over my Application. While the others had to get physicals, drive tests, and more paperwork.
The test guy didn't show so the drive tests were pushed to day 2.
The second day I learned the basics of the QualComm (cool tool) sat a lot.
Tomorrow I should get a drivers code, and hopefully meet my mentor.
SOOOOOOOO ready to get this over! -
hey i went to phoenix in feb.. was sent home that monday orantation. then come back and it was walls to break down... including the 41 hr bus ride.. from mt. after an bad eval twice. both auto fails. not by points. i passed the eval the first time through after the two bad starts... test went great passed the first time.... at phoenix they have their own examiners... so you get the privialage of testing the next day after evals. yes i was nervous when retesting on eval.. seat belt... violation... rough.. first day of eval was a af for having lanes clear with another vechicle in coming out lane still two blocks away... was committed in my lane and turn when the vech came out intto lane... i slowed his progress... auto fail... so that really was questionable but the instructors said different.. didnt fail on points.. was with a different instructor had 4 in the truck didnt get much driving time... kept my nerves in check and passed.. was able to do the whole test friday.. passed the first time... now waiting till the 10th of april to go for orentation in lewiston, id. hope things go well there... i have viewed forum and have a good sense things will go well there as well. swift after going through the academy has given me so much more info that it was well worth the time and that i felt i earned this cdl... happy trails to everyone and i too am an older person coming into this industry andhopin that it will make my goals and family get to a better place... still planning on nd or eastern mt. but got to get the experience first... so swift may be what it is out there but they are giving us a chance to be safe and have along carrer. thanks swift... i take the good and bad of everything and make it work..see ya all out there..
