I’m not sure what the outcome for the driver was or if he/she are still there. We were warned to cover the glass and the 4 axle trucks all were issued glass protectors. Now for us three axle fellas were kinda on our own. But you better come up with something to cover your arse. I use three moving blankets with bungee rope to hold in place.

I always assumed the tempered glass was for quick egress from machinery equipped with ROPS if you are in an emergency situation and the door is no longer an option.

Definitely a reason. I've seen many with emergency latches on the doors or removeable window gaskets as well.

Why do they say "This is a 4 axle problem"?

Do they have 2 axle drivers that need to be told they don't need to pickup protective panels for something they can't haul anyway?

You know you are getting big when....

It should be for everyone that hauls equipment. Not sure as to why this was said. I didn’t work for them in 2014. All I know is that I’m in a 3 axle truck and I cover my glass and arse.

I don't see a problem hooking to the rub rail as much as I do with the way the link on the binder is twisted.
