The front axle is tore off on the pass side. Spring shacks and U bolts broke. There is a lot of damage there. The trailer has very minor damage, it could be hauling freight tomorrow. The cost would be a LOT higher than if there would have been cargo.
I had a bad day!

One other thing, WEAR YOUR SEATBELT. I had mine on and the cop said there was no doubt in his mind that my butt would have been flappin in the breeze out the broken pass window playing with the weeds and mud, had I not had my belt on.

Okay, add in a quick 5k for the axle repairs as well. The truck I am driving was in an accident before I got it. Driver drifted off into a guardrail in PA, took out the left side, including the axle and parts on the lower side of the truck. Only body damage was the hood and all the front end stuff. Bill came to 16k on a 2006 Mack.

I don't see the ins company paying that kind of money on a 99 with 1.1 million miles on it. Even if the truck was in good shape before, and a over haul 200,000 miles ago. -
Like the others have said. The main thing is your o.k.
Like pilots say, any landing you can walk away from is a good one. -
Seems to me you could get a good price for it in the open market in India... seems its in better shape than some of the pics posted from there recently!
