W@e had something similar happen on the farm a few years back. We had a spot alongside the road where we were parking while combining corn in a large field, Ffairly narrow road, deep ditches, and one of the guys came in and parked the L-800 straight truck there while it was empty. He got into one of the combines to ride until the corn was ready to load, came back and the truck was toppled over in the ditch. Sidebank just collapsed underneath it, rolled it onto it's side. We hooked up straps and chains, pulled it back onto the road, had almost no damage, though the hood alignment was always a little bit off after that, and still is to this day.
I also know of a tanker guy hauling manure pulled up, got out of the truck and walked away and the truck and trailer rolled into the ditch as the bank gave way. Didn't spill a drop, damaged the mirror brackets on pax side. Wrecker pulled it upright after they unloaded most of the load.
It happens sometimes, no matter what you do. You got out safe, license intact, and the boss isn't too burnt up over it. Chalk it up to experience. -
The body shop at River States FL has a picture of a customized truck with the wood flooring on their website, I'm not into that seeing as how a chicken truck gets turned into a rolling mudroom, but it does look nice. -
Nope that didn't work out too well. -
That was a temp deal. Boss's boy traded that one on an 03 Pete. -

To add to the confusion I've seen trucks built in 03 billed as an 03 with a twin turbo. I've also seen trucks built in 04 billed as an 04 with ONE turbo. The twin set up is clearly the Accert.
It is definitely the C15. I talked to my mechanic and he said the so called bridge engine was the one between the 3406E and the Acert twin turbo nonsense. CAT was doing a designation change and wanted every thing to have a "C" designation.
I had the truck looked at by an independent mechanic. He said the maintenance has been kept up and he saw a lot of evidence of new parts or work being done. The only code in the engine is a jake brake code for a solenoid. Idle time is a low 24%, max load of only 40% and a life time MPG of 5.26. About what I expect from a big CAT.
I'm getting the truck for $40,500 with 4 new batteries, and 10 new tires. I should be able to haul cars either thursday afternoon or friday morning. -
Thanks to you and every body else thats said the same or similar. -
How is this for interesting?
I just fired up my laptop checking to make sure it still worked. The GPS route actually shows me veering off the road with a big red arrow where I came to a stop. That is pretty accurate when you look at how close I was to the roadway.

At least you were honest and didn't claim to be following the GPS instructions.

Taking credit for the FUBAR.
