I hate math....

Not always 250-350 per hole.
Example. My trailer when I do most produce loads that do not go back to the doors but there's at least 5 feet at the back, those are 250-300. Load weight 42000.
Example 2. Different load, requires 26 skids straight in, also weighs 42000. Loaded to the doors. Each hole now will move 500 maybe 600 pounds per.

It can be a pita if you can't see how it's loaded. Lucky me I do everything live load and I tell them how I want it. That's for another discussion though.

 

I do believe cat scales cost 10.50 up front, and 2.00 for each additional reweigh thereafter.

 

CAT scale reweigh isn't free .. think 1.50 or maybe 2.00.

 

Also maximum 2 or 3 reweighs before you have to pay the 10.50 again..

 

I called Cat scales because I had to have a light scale before loading. I thought it might be stealing if I reweighed a loaded trailer. They told me I can reweigh it within 24 hours on the same scale. No limits on reweighs.

 

As someone else said, evvery load is different. I had one where they put all the weight on the rear, and light up front. Sliding the tandems all the way to the rear, I was still over 1,500# over. The load weighed around 30,000#.

Let's see, 13 th hole on our trailers would put me 8 holes over length for California. Blanket statements like this are of no use. Too many variables in trailers, state regs etc.

 

You guys use "susp load"? Most of the times, i can hit it right on the money with it.
