    FINALLY. CAUGHT. UP.

Shouldn't have stayed away, I think I'm in a better mood when I'm trying to keep up random trains of thought with all of ya :)

Ew, I actually had to leave the house today . I pretty much spent Thurs-Sun between my bed, and the couch ... that hydrocodone cough syrup was a wonderful thing. I could only take half a dose last night before bed because it's been putting me out for 12-13 hours at a time with the regular 5mL dose! Last day of the methylprednisolone stuff as well, and maybe finally after 2 months I'll have completely kicked whatever it was I had...

It wasn't all sleep and happies, this time of year hasn't always been the best, and I'm having a repeat of a pretty rough one this year. Hurting heart around the holidays is never fun... and causing that for someone else sucks too. :(

For Thanksgiving, ended up having filet & lobster tail at the house, dinner rolls & homemade mashed potatoes with my great-grandmother's potato ricer (looks like this one .. everyone on my mom's side was fighting over it, so my grandma gave it to me a couple years ago to make sure I got it)
    chinois.jpg
The days after Thanksgiving resulted in lots of leftover mashed potatoes ... got a little carried away when making them. Was a little sad not to have the Franks Red Hot injected fried turkey this year, maybe for Christmas, depending on my life situation by then...

My brother turned 26 on Saturday. Luckily I remembered, during my boycott of FB over the weekend. Shot him a text telling him Happy Birthday & to have fun on his decline towards 30 ;) . He reminded me that I'm a couple years closer than he is . Was glad to see that my college team, Clemson Tigers, went 12-0 and finally freakin' beat the Gamecocks at Williams-Brice. Missed the game completely, but I probably would have gotten myself sicker watching the mess that was the game, from what I heard. Also more of a reason I was glad to have said no-FB the last few days, I can't stand how "violent" some people manage get on that rivalry.

My ex husband kept waiting for me to turn into that hungry animal, he'd accuse me of plotting all the time after I left. And there were times I thought of being vicious, especially when I found out 3 months after we split he was going to be a father. The baby mama was girl that was around quite often during our marriage, which he always claimed was "just a friend" - very convenient ... but I really just wanted it all to be done with. When I left, all I took initially was a bag of clothes and the keys to the F350, which I'd been driving since wrecking my car a month earlier (he had a daily driver also, truck was our 3rd vehicle)... I ended up towing my wrecked car to the body shop, getting a loan for $8,000 for the repairs, returning the F350 and trailer to the house, and taking whatever clothing, family heirlooms from my side, 2 of the 3 cats, and knick-knack stuff that was mine. I never asked to split money, vehicle values, etc. The house was only in my name, but on land his parent's gifted us when we got engaged. All I asked for was he refinance it out of my name in a decent amount of time. My ex made a list of things he "wanted" in the divorce a week after I left, I said he could have whatever. I was just done. Took 1 year and 11 months to finalize, but he DID wait over a year to file  Then accused me of hanging on to something that wasn't there anymore - um, Dodo, you said you were filing, I've just been waiting to get it! His 1st kid was born nearly a year to the day of me leaving, and decided that the courthouse was a fun place to start calling me all sorts of immature names and announce loudly he was going downstairs to get a marriage license for the other one ... his lawyer said he obviously didn't learn much the first time, and I couldn't help but laugh :p

Thought a few times about moving to TN. Enjoy the Sevierville area.

28 here... you & @truckon are making me feel old now, jeez.

My divorce didn't bother me near as much as the current situation falling apart like it is. Guess we never really do know the reasons some bother us more than others...

I catch blue crab here ... make some delicious crab cakes & crab soup ... can't beat it. Pickin' the crab does take awhile, but I find it's quite worth it :)

Come visit Charleston, I need some drinking & not quitting in my life. :D

That actually looks pretty good. Too bad I won't be near the Greer area anytime soon that I know of, but will have to keep in mind

There's another Tara with knowledge of disposal sites? ... oh wait, I've said too much .... :D

Yeah a few days hiatus was a bad idea! And Hi!
