I've been pretty productive today, actually (*gasp!*). Waiting on straggling paperwork from November. The girl I'm waiting on it from blames dispatch. They blame the drivers.
I'm saying I don't care I'm ready to go.
WOOHOO !

HA! went a round with one of the gals in payoffs today about paperwork. sent 8 loads in on Tuesday got paid on 7. ok I thought i'll wait a day and see if the other one comes through. NOPE! called a while ago they said didn't receive it. claimed I didn't send it in. funny it was with all the other ones I sent. gave them the code # to look it up. she said not going to do it resend it. hung up and called vp. 20 minutes later had my $$$. now they are down one less settlement girl.

Luckily I do a pretty good job of making sure everyone gets paid, and paid what they're owed, since dispatch sucks at putting in proper notes most of the time on anything extra (OW, hoses, air, detention)
. If one of the pay sheets is missing, I'll check logs to see if it was in fact done before I'd ever zero out any load on them. Then I make a note to the Trucking Mgr on why it's there without a pay sheet (most of the time dispatch misplaces it
, and it'll pop up a day or 2 later), so he doesn't zero it out. Everyone's happy - he doesn't have to manually add it in the next week, and the driver doesn't have to wait on it another week once the sheet appears.
The girl before me didn't care, always missed the correct OW pay (would only pay for 2 states instead of 6 because it never auto-populates 6), and if it didn't come up by itself in the system, she wouldn't pay it. There's been a lot less complaining for sure
Anything I've ever done here, from scheduling with customers, to dispatching, to paying, I've always done fairly. It annoys me to no end when I watch others in the office that just don't care about anything, play favorites and screw others over in the process, etc.

I kinda knew something was up the other day. one of the gals called and said I was missing a log. didn't question it. ( they misplace one every now and then) so I sent a copy of log. vp doesn't fool around. he gave her a day off and if she has attitude again, GONE FOR GOOD! I have been one of the top ten revenue trucks for a while. he takes care of the ones that make the company $$$$sshewins, truckon, horsecrazychic22 and 5 others Thank this.
