I’ve parked there myself, guess I’ll take it off the list. Just one of the rare things that can happen. Cops will probably write you a ticket for disrupting wildlife habitat. Best leave them out of it. Next time try Mc Donald’s across from TA, usually a spot there.

Your boss told ya to suck it up cause he’s obviously been in this business a long time to know that this stuff happens and you didn’t do it it on purpose.
You also gotta be careful in situations like this if you wanna try to complain or call the cops because the properties we sometimes use for parking may not be owned by the business we are visiting. It could just be a vacant lot owned by someone who really doesn't mind it being used for parking until someone starts to complain or gets “hurt”. Thats when the no parking signs go up or in some cases fences and/or barracades to keep us out. Then where do you go?

That KFC across from the TA can hold a few trucks too, not to mention that shell next to it, each can get about 10 trucks in there if drivers park right

I agree entirely. I goal all of the time. But it was likely pretty hard to actually tell how deep that dirty water was unless you stepped into it. Especially if it was dark when he backed in. That would have been a heck of a ride had he tried to pull in thinking he'd back out.

Yeah, that's part of it. I know how hard it is for guys to get parking. I don't want my whining to get them to throw up barricades. My boss isn't gonna get any madder at me than he already is.

    That's why I asked here.
And at least maybe I warned a few people about that spot.

Did you snag the bumper on the VW carcass on the bottom, we still haven’t found it.

    Did the bumper float away..?

From now on it might save money to step down and walk up on the crater.. at least you didn’t bust the oil pan/bottom of radiator.

By looking at the picture i can tell the water wasnt over 2 feet deep,it didnt even reach the center of the wheel hub also it was daylight.
Im sure the driver could’ve have found a stick or something to check how deep the water is.
The driver made a poor decision and backed in too fast.

I still like this one from the old terminal I worked at for 4.5 years.
Schneider ignored the sign ‘Authorized vehicles only passed this gate.’ This was the result.
