my first check is tomarrow. they hold one week so your always a week behind. plus I tok all of my advance money and paid my phone bill they were about to shut it off.... no phone= no internet which = no load board access

actually I had a $110 check last week. they gave me $460 to bobtail to indy, $500 sign on bonus and $150 for orientation. but I spent a few hundred in the shop getting my truck to pass, then I hauled a short load after orientation but I screwed up. I fueled just enough for that load, delivered saturday. Our pay cutoff is sat night. after I delivered it I fueled up for my next load to TX which should have been attache to the TX load for the next week but they attached it to the first load so I spent way more on fuel then the load paid. I'd have been better off not loading untill sunday

We pay our plates at $1800 for the year, and as Al said, about $300 total for all my insurance including OC/AC

I currently am running about 2200 miles a week. I just figured with the cost of trailer maintance, plates and all the insurance costs to be independant, the $1.75 I am seeing isn't very bad at all. But I am never gonna be happy till everything is paid for and i don't have to worry about it.

They tell you in the orientation for Choice that your fuel has to attach to a load. So if you would have fueld AFTER you picked up your load to Texas, it would have been placed with that load. But since you fuel before you picked it up, it went onto your previous load..... I too have made that mistake myself. That is why on day 1 I filled my tanks, and then I just top them off everyday so that I am only replacing the fuel i used that day. Actually works out better in the end as you will never have a HUGE fuel bill except for that 1st fill-up

I pulled reefers with SNI on a dedicated Wal-Mart account long, long ago. You can keep that crap.... 8-12hr delays at the shipper/reciever and then every load weighs in at 40K + lbs. No thanks

ya, you get used to it. lol

nothing like the sinking feeling you get when you pull into a yuma az lettuce shed and there is two hundred trucks there ahead of you and you know by the time you get loaded you're gonna have 48hrs left to run 2400 miles
