the PDTI only serves to let the trucking companies know that some schools have been accredited to teach the subject, but it is by no means a sure fire fact that the students coming out of such a school are apt at driving. there are many schools NOT accredited that train people to drive. then too, if a school fails to pass students and find them jobs, they LOSE accreditation.
this i know for a fact, as a former employer of mine (trucking school), has a sorry pass rate at the DMV...........they WILL BE losing the accreditation by the end of september, unless they can pass and get hired 50 students........
and i know, as well as my former co-workers, that school CANNOT do this........
so much for accreditation..............wouldn't you say............??

Yeah you should call the company you want to work for. Ask them what schools they hire from. They like that alot. And it gets your name in the door before you even start this. Good Luck
