As far as your carrier is concerned I wouldn't say much to them. If they had done a proper background check on you they would have found it. I would take care of the issue ASAP.

correct. Warrent would not show on company pre employment check. Companies do not run a state by state warrant check.......

Wow taht mustof really givin you a scare i know it would for me. I would tell my employer to get mea run to the sunshine state and get it strait after explainig the situation to them. Or maybe next time you won't have a lucky day, you know what they say sooner or later, i would get it off of my mind for good and if it's already been taken care of once you should have no problems...tyler

That is the last place I would go. They might not extradite him, but if he gets stopped in FL things will unfold a little different. I would get a hold of an attorney. I know 5 grand is a lot, but losing your truck because you are sitting in jail is not good either.

    RickG Thanks this.

Well I can only speak of experience. I have had many that other State's would not extradite on. However, you should take care of it as soon as possible. Just because they wouldn't extradite you from MO, doesn't mean they won't extradite you from other places. That depends on the area the Agency holding the warrant entered into NCIC and that can vary from warrant to warrant. Also we call the Agency that has the warrant, I have seen at times they have a plane or unit in the area on another extradiction and then they will extradite you. I would call the Agency that has the warrant and see what the terms of the warrant are. That's free and won't cost you $5,000. I know when we get calls we tell the person it has a pre set bond or the judge has to set the bond. You may also want to call another attorney that has a better rate. Other than that good luck.

At least every 3-4 months, I run my credit report--EVERY week I run my Drivers License, and check for warrants. California once put a warrant on me, for a ticket my company never paid. I learned that lesson well !! It's all free, depending on your state. DON'T get caught with your pants down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
