True that, fatigue is a huge factor. Remember it’s a brotherhood hauling tanks, a dying breed. Help your fellow truckers when you can.

I’m always iffy on helping someone back.
Very rarely do I want a spotter, if i hit something I want it to be my fault and don’t trust most people to help me back.
I feel like other drivers probably feel the same.austinmike Thanks this. -
SAR Thanks this.

Well I don’t want to hit anything but here’s what I mean.
A month ago my co worker was getting help backing into a garage to go dump a load of DEF. The dude spotting him backed him right into his own pickup truck. You know you can’t see in a garage until your mirrors are passed the door...
My co worker is dumb for that and so is the spotter. Always look in a garage before you just back in and hope for the best. -
A couple pictures that blame a Swift driver, but no evidence to support it.
And I'll note that the damage is not in line with a tractor/trailer backing in to something.
It would have been much more severe than a slight scrape on a fender, and then that low on the wheel.
Even the DOT bumper is not that low.

Im only asking you, because you seem to know whats going on. Clearly @WesternPlains is a tall tale coffee counter driver.
On the other hand sir, you can look at two random pics and know instantly under no possible circumstances would a cmv have caused that damage.
During your investigation, did you come to the conclusion that the scratch on the wheel was not at precisely 22 inches?
You know the legal hieght off the ground of a dot bumper.
I dont know if this hurts your case, but here is a photo of a random truck and dot bumper. That bumper is about inline with allllll 5 wheel hubs. It appears the bottom of the trailer is inline with the hood fender too? Coincidence?
