you hit the nail on the head, and then when you get into the workplace no one CARES about work ethetic anymore, all the care is how well you get under the desk. the people that are really talented at getting under the desk are the ones that keep their jobs AND the people that get advancement. they give a little to "get ahead" if you know what i mean.

1099 means independent contractor, make sure you are not legally a employee, a lot of companies try to get away with this to save money.

Why are you applying at Prime of all places? They're one of the most strict megas out there in regards to perfect work and MVR history. Plus they're not known for great home time. Why not just go back to Werner and run OTR or regional if you didn't want the tight backing associated with the Dollar General account?
They care but not enough to pay you a livable wage. Every job I quit due to little money they begged me to stay but not once offered more money for doing so.

the place i went to today just built a brand new multi-million dollar facility. it might be a 10 million dollar facility. the place is HUGE, but they cant afford to pay a fair wage? what a joke

US Xpress is a team orientated company. How long are you willing to stay out for? @Chinatown might be able to recommend some companies. The reason I said go back to Werner is because they already know you and might take you back quickly. Plus it would be like you never left and would look good on the job history in the future. Just some food for thought.

You could try the company i drive for out of farmington if you want back in a truck I bet there take you on. They got regional where your home every weekend. Decent equipment apus blah blah blah good CPM and bonuses.

If you give them a try and they want to put you with a trainer try and get a guy named bill for your trainer. I went out a week and a half with him and he's very good. (He's otr) during "training" I saw the house a few times.
