Thanks for response I figured you could I just wanted to make sure, and for the 1s who struggle with split how I look at it. If you use 5 hrs drive then sleep 7/8 hrs. After 7/8 will still have 6 hrs of drive and 9 hrs of your 14. Then drive 2 hrs and then sleep/off duty for 2/3 hrs itl complete your 10 hr break but it will only have the 2 hrs of your drive used and youl have 12 hr 14 left.
Another way to look at it, a 2-3 hr break freezes your clock. And a7/8 hr break freezes your clock both drive and 14 hr break so what you use stays til those breaks are complete.
So let's say you gotta deliver a load at 1800 but your eta is 1530. You can park near where you gotta deliver do a 2 hr break and itl be like you drove straight there and didn't just run your 14 hr break out. Same works for them loads if you can make it straight there the night before but you can't park there but your appt is in 8 hrs you can park near delivery and do sb for 7 hrs and be on time then after loads delivered you can take a 3 hr break and you get whatever you didn't use to deliver load back with fresh 14 minus used hr.
The splits fairly simple it just seems overly complicated. I love the split cause I can sleep when I need to or them nights where I can't sleep I can split my clock to make things work easier for me the next day.
That's why I asked about the 2, 7 hr splits cause the other day I couldn't sleep cause my sleep cycle didn't land right, but I had clock to drive close to delivery and hopefully by then I can get some sleep which I could do the 2nd 7 hr sleeper and not screw up my clock for that next day.
I have yet to see this answered for splits
