I guess you don't know much about physics. A small hole will not affect the functioning of a faraday cage for wavelengths larger than the largest dimension of the hole. However, a conductive wire from inside the cage, to the outside of the cage which is not electrically bonded to the cage can defeat isolation. It is a pathway for both static electric fields and electromagnetic waves to pass through the cage.
The vast majority don't care about long distance communication. All I want is local traffic conditions. I don't need pen pals in NM
Ill have to disagree...Just like a car or truck or even big truck,#### near every man wants his to out perform(looks, speed, mpg ect) the next guys..If you settle then you get your man card pulled..
Thats fine if "YOU" are not wanting to but there is something your willing to spend more on that someone else wouldnt.....Same goes for radios..
Funny how its complain time when radios have more than one channel..Dont like to listen to him or anyone, change the ch,adjust the gain or squelch..Just incase ya didnt know what the other knobs do..
True, by the time you squelch him out you just as well shut it off because you can't hear the trucks around you.
