Reminds me of this tech in Detroit, Nicky.

Nicky was a fantastic tech, he could fix or modify anything, published a book on cb mods but he was a PIA and was very hard to get along with others.

He ended up pissing the wrong people off one day so about 2 am someone had backed into his drive with their F250 4x4 with their 7.3l power stroke 4 speed with a granny low, threw a grappling hook which caught Nicky's tower (which was on the side of the house) high enough to work, took off yanking on the tower, leaving skid marks on the drive and after four attempts to pull it down, the truck won finally ripping it all down, dragging it down the street.

After that, we barely heard Nicky on the air, he was taught a lesson not to be a PIA.

The guy who ripped it down was well known for a short fuse and took down someone else's tower by ramming it with his truck which got him arrested when the tower and truck went through the guys family room.

Oh and the really funny thing is this guy was 5' 0" tall and his truck cab floor was 4' 6" high, he had to use one of those mini step ladders to get into it.

The main reason most people would want to know where he is, and probably the same reason the phone in the KOA office was ringing off the hook, is that people paid money in advance for a radio that they never got. People are on a waiting list that is over a year long. Then the 955 v1 radios dried up, so he has no radios to sell. But he keeps taking orders. The 955 v2 is a completely different radio, and has no adjustments on the board. It's all in the service menu, and anyone who can watch YouTube can learn how to do it. It is estimated that Hard Drive has defaulted on just shy of a million dollars worth of radios over the past few years.

 

Thanks for posting this, I have wondered if there was some reason to hear the same message from so many people in different areas.

 

Mote to it than twisting knobs you watched on youtube...Many of us out there who dont have the background inntechy stuff to do so....To #### easy to ruin a radio....

Since I have no experience with tuning a radio I can't say whether or not he is a great tuner but I try to keep mine on for information on different things but it is annoying as heck to listen to the same bs over and over.
I personally think he has an ego problem and since you can only get one of his radios through Facebook he can't be confronted.
I do wish he would shut up or find another channel to play on.
Since he thinks he is God of CB radio tuning how does he get anything accomplished by running his retarded trap constantly?
