I ain’t picking any sides here. I I just try to get along with everyone. But I’m pretty sure @rabbiporkchop knows the difference between CBs, HF, VHF, UHF, ham radios, etc…….

Yep, that's right, I think Jason doesn't know what the history is.
We all do.Crude Truckin' Thanks this. -
Not on 11 meters at those GPS coordinates.
I can achieve much longer distances at different GPS coordinates as well.
Why would I be stupid enough to think that a ham radio is a CB? That's a pretty dumb assumption to make.Crude Truckin' Thanks this. -
I know the history very well.

so you've been here before?Crude Truckin' Thanks this.

I know the history of CB Radio and HAM Radio. What I find funny is people who think that just because I am a new member here that I don't know anything, yet I've been around radios most of my life and even took it to the next step and got my HAM Radio license which after hearing all of the ######## and people blowing smoke up other people's ##### for too long, I decided it was time for me to go to a much CLEANER and more courteous community. However, when I am notified of a "Radio GOD" as they purport themselves to be and "cannot be questioned about anything or use common sense and knowledge" then constantly use a heavily modified HAM Radio on the 11 meter CB Band and claim it is a CB Radio to completely jam frequencies used by truckers, yeah.....that irks me. And then there are the morons who defend a narcissistic and psychotic person as that....that says a lot about not only that person but the ones who defend such actions. IF Mud Duck was half as smart as he thinks he is, then why isn't he working for the radio companies? A bit of common sense and actual thought processes would go a long way.

Dude, you don't get something, no one thinks you are clueless, and you don't seem to get that I am talking about the history of this thread and only about this thread. It has been comical to see the defensive position some have taken, while in general most of these types of these conversations are just entertaining.
Your comments are welcomed here because it adds to the overall knowledge of this section of the forum.
That said, your comments go to the root of the problem we see with some on FB and other forums when it comes to the subject at hand.Crude Truckin' Thanks this. -
The history of this thread is people being sick and tired of hearing Mark Sherman all across the US from coast to coast as well as some in Canada. People want him shut down and I am one who is 100% all for him being shut down and getting the fines he deserves. There are other ways for him to promote himself but not a constant all day and half of the night making it impossible for truckers to get information. That only makes people want to turn their radios off. -
Where's the profit? It doesn't seem like it would be worth the effort considering the microscopic profit margin on these Chinese radios.
Truer words were never spoken.
Until they can talk Barefoot from mile marker 182 to mile marker 256 on interstate 80 out of a Freightliner Cascadia and be heard by a mobile station at the other end of the conversation, they aren't in much of a position to act like their ham ticket and the thousands of books they read puts them in a position of authority on a subject that they can't achieve or replicate. -
CB Radios are not meant to get out to a range of 74 miles, mobile to mobile. CB Radios are meant to only go 3 to 5 miles distance mobile to mobile. Now, with that in consideration, I have talked and can still talk a range of 20 miles from my straight out of the box, from the factory mobile back to a base station. That is as far as anyone should ever need to talk. Any more than that and you're just intentionally being an #######.
