At ANY given day, with a 100% legal CB Radio there is no way you are going to talk that far. IF you are intentionally talking that far then you are interfering with other truckers who are trying to get information.

What does that have to do with anything? I saw a thread about people being sick and tired of hearing Mud Duck and so I joined the thread. If other people are butt hurt about myself and others reporting him to the FCC to get him shut down for his intentional interference on a channel that has been used by truckers for decades then so be it. Most people here are on this thread because they were sick and tired of hearing him.

I agree with what you're saying. We have to remember that band conditions play a big part also. 10 and 11 meters are very similar, and after many years the 10 meter band is coming alive again. And I'm sure 11 meters is doing the same since you can hear the skip rolling almost on a daily basis. A beam antenna also helps a great deal too. I have no idea what antenna hard drive is using, but I'm sure he's running a few hundred watts of power. People have been talking skip for years with just a factory tuned radio. No special fine tune needed. The main difference is most big station radio guys, don't talk for hours almost on a daily basis on the truckers channel.

If you had a real receiver you might experience this someday.
Kenworth W900 and four foot Firestik antenna.
Some of us enjoy hearing what you can't so we can relay the info back to you.

Are you seriously STILL replying back to my posts even after you said that you don't have time to waste by replying to me? Are you REALLY THAT butt hurt over this? A REAL receiver? LOL! Don't make me laugh. And you brag about how far you can talk....what over 30 miles? Try over 200 with a bone stock, out of the box 2 meter HAM Radio with MY antenna I designed, built and tuned with a true calibrated and tuned analyzer and working in the real world.

    Working in the real world?

    OK.

Try 5600 miles on a light bulb sitting in the middle of the yard, 10 watts, and made a contact with someone just south of Porto Alegre Brazil. This happened around 2035 my time on 20m with a four-minute conversation, he was interrupted by a local otherwise it would have been longer.

I thought you just built the J-Pole?

What kind of 2m rig you have there sparky?

    BAOFENG?

    Anytone?
