Thats how he's getting out all over the place ,and bull ####ting people into thinking its his barefoot radio.Why is it when you hear him ,he's the only one other than all the DX guys with big amps. A good tuned radio with an antenna that's tuned as close to resonance as possible will do a great jobs don't believe all his crap

He does have very distinct audio. I do like the way his radios sound in DX land.

 

Hd sounds the same w/o the amp..I did hear him when i was in mass/va a # of times yrs ago..
Yes he may just be playin with that amp now but it will basically only make him louder further away..

 

People that listen to him say the same thing also. The results speak for themselves.

If he says he is on his barefoot mobile then he is barefoot. If he says he is the mud duck in the desert it means he is in his shop on his base antenna mounted to the roof of his shop.
Integrity means a lot. Some folks like to jump to conclusions.

 

Mike knows some basics but he tried to pass off misinformation in one of his videos. He tried to blame harmonics on an amplifier instead of accepting responsibility for misaligning the radio that was plugged into the amplifier.
Mark tried to point it out in a polite way without mentioning any names and Mike secretly deleted his video because he knew Mark was correct. If you look closely you will notice the harmonics are produced by the radio due to the mismatched finals and basic textbook service manual tune. The amplifier is simply doing its job.

 

Mike is a good repair man but hes completely clueless when it comes to tuning. All he can do is a basic textbook service alignment tune. This is what you end up with.
A stock radio directly from the manufacturer will always outperform anything Mike has tampered with.
